I'm back, baby, so you know what that means. Want some art for your OC? Got a character in DnD or another roleplaying game that you want to see come to life? Got money? Then I'm here for you!

The Rules

  1. If you want a commission done, please email me at chibigingi@gmail.com with the word “Commission” somewhere in the subject line. Email only at this time, thank you. Any commission requests done on my Kick chatroom or Youtube comments will either be linked to this journal or ignored completely.

  2. Please do not spam my Kick chat or Youtube chat with questions regarding your commission. All inquiries need to be sent through email, or if its a matter of importance that requires direct one-on-one discussion, we can take it to Discord (ChibiGingi). Any questions/spams regarding your piece done in the chats or comments sections will be referred to this journal or ignored/deleted.

  3. An ETC is an Estimated Time of Completion and may be subject to change, as not only do I have a full-time job but other duties and thus cannot completely devote all of my time to your commission, as well as make any corrections or changes throughout the process. I will endeavor to keep in contact with you regarding progress via email or Discord.

  4. Payment for your piece is due at the time of completion. Once we’ve touched base and if everything is to your liking, I will accept your payment (via Paypal at this time) and once payment has been processed, I will send you the completed art files (PNG, no watermark).

  5. Upon request, I can remove/opt to not put my signature on the piece, but please make sure you credit me and maybe send business back my way. Much obliged.

  6. Not interested in NFTs or payments in Bitcoin.

What I Can and Willing to Do

  • Single character pieces, be it an original character, fanart, fursona, whatever.

  • Human, alien, anthro (both ‘realistic’ and cartoon), robots, kaiju, animals, etc.

  • Fanart is A-Ok.

  • Violence and erotic is fine, though anything that would break Kick’s or YouTube’s TOS cannot be streamed live. A timelapse will be made available to the owner upon request but I will ask that I have the right to decide to post it on my own YouTube account or not (the owner of the piece is welcomed to post it, just credit me for doing the art, of course). So, porn is a Go, just not able to be livestreamed at this time.

What I Cannot or Unwilling to Do

  • Political or religious pieces. If it’s a character who happens to wear a Cross necklace or wears a shirt that is political in nature, that’s fine. However, I won’t do political cartoons for either side, and note that if someone asks me to do a character wearing a MAGA hat or something, I am not endorsing that message, just drawing the character they want. If I feel like the piece is borderline political or religious, I will bring it up during our correspondence. TLDR: Please, just let me draw characters. That’s what I’m good at.

  • Anything that is intentionally and blatantly derogatory towards any certain race, religion, political, etc groups. Seriously.

  • Group pictures or backgrounds. The most I’m willing to do in a single piece is 2 characters max, and I am not comfortable enough to do any backgrounds or scenes. Maybe once I’ve improved on those aspects I’ll allow them in the future, but for now, single character pieces (or 2 characters) only. Thank you for understanding.

  • If anything else pops up, I’ll add it here or we can discuss it in private during our correspondence.

The Process, More or Less

  1. You send your email, including the words “Commission” in the subject line, as well as the form to fill out (copy and paste is fine) and any reference images you have on hand.

  2. I receive the email, checked it over, and if there are any issues or things that need clarification, I’ll reply back. If everything is good, I’ll reply back letting you know and you will be added to the list.

  3. Once I start working on your piece, I will inform you via email or Discord, and if you approved for it to be livestreamed, I will provide a link and a list of times (I will also be recording these sessions so if you can’t make it, I can post them on YouTube after the fact and you can watch it there).

  4. I finish the piece, and if you’re content with it, you send your payment. Once payment is received, you will receive an email with the finished piece (PNG format, no watermark), a video of the timelapse of your piece, and a list of links to the livestreams where your piece is featured (if applicable).

  5. Rejoice. Art.

Prices **These are non-negotiable**

The Form

Please copy this block of text and put it in the email, with the words “Commission 2024” in the subject line somewhere. Do NOT reply to this journal or DM me in Deviantart or Discord with this. This is for record keeping and makes it easier for me to keep track of things.

References: (Here is where you’ll either write out a detailed description, or provide reference images for your character. Try to be as descriptive as possible, though if there are any issues, I’ll gladly get in contact with you via Discord or through the correspondence emails to help you figure out what you want. Don’t stress this part TOO much; if I have questions, I’ll ask.)

Do you wish to watch the livestreams, either live or after the fact on YouTube?: Y/N

Emergency Commissions! $10 sketches!

So, where do I even begin?  Recently I’ve been having bouts of low blood sugar attacks while at work and while we’re still not sure what’s exactly causing it, it’s forced me to take time off from work for unpaid medical leave so that I can take care of my health.  I don’t want to go into details about the work situation itself because it’d seem like it’d be in bad taste to do so and I will be starting up a new full time position, but that doesn’t start until November 16th, sadly (and hopefully they will be more lenient on allowing me to take my assigned breaks on time to prevent my blood sugar from just plummeting).

So I’m doing emergency commissions so that I can hopefully pay by bills on my upcoming rent.  $10 character sketches, pencil or digital, whichever one clients will want.  I am still doing my regular commissions, for which can be found here – > COMMISSIONS JOURNAL

I’m not going to sugarcoat the situation or try to blow it out of proportion, but every little bit helps, really.  If you can afford commissions, or don’t want any, please share this with a friend and send it around?  I’d greatly appreciate it!

If you’d like one done, either email me at chibigingi@gmail.com or send a note here on DA.  I really, really appreciate anything, even a share (or a pat on the back telling me it's all going to be okay).

I will be taking TEN people at a time, and when I am done with all ten people, I will open for the next ten people. I add people to the list as I receive requests. Even if all ten spots are filled, feel free to send in your request! You will be added to the reserved list, and when the first set of tens are done, you will be moved up to an active slot.  If there are any changes made to this list, you will be notified via Note on DA, Tumblr or email (I will be: chibigingi@gmail.com) if you do not have a DA or Tumblr account.  I hope this seems fair to everyone.

The Dos and Don’ts of Commissions

I DO:

-Original characters: Humans, elves, orcs, furry, mecha, Gaian Avatars, MLP etc.
-Fan art: PLEASE INCLUDE REFERENCES as I may not know the character
-Erotic art: Soft heterosexual and homosexual, artistic nudity
-Mild violence: Blood, small wounds, etc.

I DO NOT:

-Pornography of any type
-Anything derogatory or discriminatory to a specific race, religion, group, etc
-Political statements
-Excessive violence and gore

If you have questions on whether your commission idea is acceptable, please message me and we’ll discuss it.

Additional Notes

If you request seems complex or if I have any questions, I will message you before proceeding.  I just want to make sure I don't make any mistakes with your product (those are always irritating for the buyer). Only after I have verified what you want and after the payment has gone through will I start the commission, and I do them in order of which I get them.

In general, the process of a commission is thus:

  1. You request a commission.

  2. I verify your request.

  3. You accept/clarify my verification.

  4. You send me payment.

  5. I send a work-in-progress as I go down my commission list (there will be one for each stage/correction if needed).

  6. You accept/clarify any changes to the art.

  7. I send you final art.

HOW TO PROPERLY REQUEST COMMISSIONS

Or better yet, how to properly write a good description so that the artist doesn't make mistakes.  If there is one thing I'm nitpicky about, it's people saying 'draw me' or 'draw my character, he looks like Cloud'.  Sorry, those aren't the best descriptions.  What I am looking for is at least a paragraph worth of details, as well as some previously drawn images or even examples from pre-existing characters to go along with it.  I need to know what they look like, how their personality is, and if desired, what kind of setting they're in.  If I have questions about anything, I will verify a few things, even send a rough sketch before putting in the details and ink.  I just want to make sure that I don't muck up your character/request, that's all.

LENGTH OF WAIT TIME

While I am employed full time, I plan on using most of my free time to work on my portfolio as well as my commissions.  Most of my commission work, however, will be done on my days off, which will fluctuate due to the nature of my job.  Lines should take about a week, and colored pieces should take about two weeks.  If there are any circumstances that would otherwise prevent me from finishing within those times, I will contact you and let you know as soon as I can.

In order to appear on the list, you MUST Note/PM/email me, with the subject 'Commission'.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I donate?
A: I will always accept donations; it's your choice if you want to donate or not.  I appreciate it muchly, though!

Q: How long should a commission take?
A:  Lines should take about a week, and colored pieces should take about two weeks. It may take longer depending on the number of characters in a piece or if multiple changes are needed between WIPs. If my times change for any reason, I will let you know via Note/PM/e-mail as soon as I can.

Normally I don't do this, but... why not?

Tagged by: :iconxxladyoblivionxx:

You must post these rules:
-Each person must share 10 things about them.
-Answer the 10 questions asked to you, and invent 10 new questions that shall be asked to the people you will tag.
-Choose 10 people, and put their icon on your journal.

Facts about myself:

  • Born and raised in Louisiana, with French ancestry on both sides.  Yes, I do have an accent, but it's not Cajun.  At least I don't think it is.
  • Three siblings: an older half-brother, an older sister, and a young brother.  My sister and I are 18 months apart, and people confuse us as twins.
  • 5'1", overweight, and 0 fucks given about both.
  • Lost my father to brain cancer when I was 15.  1999 was a terrible year for me and I'm extremely lucky to have the family, friends and community that helped me get through it, though I'm sure it's helped make me into the Negative Nancy that I am today.  Cancer sucks.
  • 2 bachelor degrees: one in General Studies with a concentration in Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, and Visual Art with Concentration in Drawing and Painting.  (BOTH USELESS, NANANA)
  • Pessimistic/"realist" that will gladly tell you what's bugging me, IF I trust you.  Complaining is a coping mechanism, and if I'm complaining around you, that means I trust you enough to listen to me.  If I'm silent or don't say anything to you, that's how you know if I like you or not.  Yeah, I'm weird, and one of those 'negative people you don't need in your life', so... *shrug*
  • I take interests in video games, anime, geeky things, toys.
  • I suck at saving money.
  • I'm great at spending money!
  • I've been drawing since heaven knows when.  My earliest piece of 'art' is located under the wooden plank that served as my bed when I was young.  Why I hid under my bed and why I drew that picture when my mom would have gladly given me paper and a pencil is beyond me... I was a weird kid.
  • I've been with the same guy for 10 years, but I've known him for 15.  Are we married? Not yet.  We're working on it.

Questions I must answer:

1. Favorite Food?

Honestly?  Chicken salad on lettuce (romaine I believe, definitely not iceberg lettuce).  I also like Taco Bell.

2. From your favorite series, which characters are your OTP?

Transformers: (G1) Inferno/Red Alert, (Prime) Breakdown/Knock Out, (IDW) Cyclonus/Tailgate.
    Dynasty Warriors: Lu Meng/Lu Xun
Samurai Warriors: (SW1) Oda Nobunaga/Date Masamune, (SW2 and onward) Toyotomi Hideyoshi/Nene
    Legend of Zelda: Link/Midna
Warriors Orochi: (WO1 and WO2) Shima Sakon/Lu Meng

3. What kind of learner are you: visual, hands-on, etc.?

Kind of both?  Mostly hands-on, though... repetition until I master/memorize the steps as well.

4. What is your worst fear?

I actually have a lot of fears: claustrophobia, heights, death.  But I think my biggest fear would have to be losing my mother, which I know is inevitable because we all die someday.  But I wouldn't really know what to do or how I'd live without my mother.  I guess I basically fear the inevitable...

5. What inspires you?

Music, random conversations with friends, funny stories.  Whenever I'm writing something, I need to have music playing, otherwise I can't get my muse working.  As far as art goes, listening to Markiplier, Game Grumps, Jontron or any other Youtubers and online reviewers usually keeps me going, especially if it's humor based.  I've been listening to a lot of Markiplier lately and there's just something about the energy he gives on in every video that keeps me going.  So, music and humorous, energy-spewing people.

6. What infuriates you?

Besides everything?  Injustice.  I can't stand injustice, even though I know it exists and it'll always exist.  When someone tries to invalidate my opinion on matters, even though I know I'm flawed or that I may not like something (or even like something) for shallow or petty reasons.  Money.  Money will always infuriate me because I suck at managing my own finances.  When someone tries to belittle me for being too negative in my outlook on life and give me throwaway comments like "cheer up" or "it's all part of God's plan".

7. What is a child dream that you wish to accomplish as of now?

Living in my own home and having enough money to pay bills and live comfortably.  I don't even want to be rich, or famous.  I just want to be independent.

8. What are you proud of achieving as of now?

Not going on a homicidal rage yet.  c:  But seriously, I guess for going on after my dad passed away from cancer would be it.

9. The most awkward moment you had in your life?

Too many to count, and some are too awkward for me to want to share, but I suppose it would be in 8th grade.  My dad passed away during the Christmas break, and unbeknownst to me, almost everyone in my school found out about it, as it was posted on the bulletin board in the teacher's lounge (you know, to let teachers know to address my brother and I about it and offer our condolences since they knew about my dad's battle with cancer.)  Well, I was the only one that ended up trying to go to school, and I missed the bus, so my mom dropped me off late, so I arrived to class five minutes late, and my first hour teacher, who was actually a good friend of my dad, asked, in front of the ENTIRE class "How's your dad doing?"  I just stared at her and couldn't say anything, and everyone in the class just glared at her.  Even the bullies who had teased me relentlessly were angry at the teacher, and she must have put two and two together and dismissed herself from the room while I took a seat.  I'm still amazed I didn't break down and cry right then and there, but yeah, it was pretty damn awkward.

10. What is life to you?

Life to me is getting a job that doesn't make you feel dead on the inside, so that you can pay bills and live comfortably until either you find something better or more, or you're just content with what you have and don't let the world drag you down to the pits of hell.  Right now, I'm teetering back and forth between a 'meh' and a really dark place, so I really have no idea how to answer that without sounding like a completely depressed sack of ChibiGingi XD.

My Questions:

  1. PC, or Mac?
  2. How did you pick your DA username?
  3. What is your favorite color?
  4. Which do you prefer: books, or movies?
  5. Who is your celebrity crush?  (Can be any celebrity: movie, TV, Youtuber, etc.)
  6. What grinds your gears?
  7. The greatest moment you had in your life?
  8. If you could meet one person who is no longer with the land of the living, who would it be, and why?
  9. What is the one thing you'd swear you'd never do?
  10. Who is best pony?
